Houston Man Submits $4.3 Million in Fraudulent Claims to Medicare and Medicaid

Sunny Robinson, a 42 year old man out of Houston, TX, was convicted of submitting over $4.3 Million in fraudulent claims to Medicare and Medicaid. Robinson owned a Houston medical supply business, and between 2005 and 2009 he submitted false claims for power wheelchairs and other medical supplies that were either unnecessary or that were never provided. Memorial Medical Supply, Robinson’s company, even had claims that included supposed deliveries to dead people. On March 7, 2011, he was convicted on 19 counts of health care fraud and anti kickback violations.
