False Time Sheets Result in 10 Counts of Medicaid Fraud for Louisiana Woman

by Andrew Barr on October 10, 2011

After indicating that she rendered caregiver services to a patient who was receiving treatment elsewhere, Ravin Roberts Guillory was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on 10-counts of Medicaid fraud. KPLCTV reports from a press release from Louisiana Attorney General Buddy Caldwell:

Personal care attendants are hired by Medicaid providers to care for physically handicapped Medicaid recipients.  The personal care attendants keep service logs and records of hours worked with each client and submit the hours to the Medicaid provider for payment.  In turn, the Medicaid provider submits the hours to the Medicaid program for payment of services rendered.
